I'm Maya. That's Maurice (pictured) - he's a bit of a dick.
I'm a filmmaker – I write, direct & occasionally produce.
I live in London, love art, despise tomatoes & speak two languages .
I'm passionate about creating all types of films, fiction & documentary, and am particularly interested in blending genres and methodologies to create new styles of storytelling. Before focusing on directing, I was a cinematographer on several award winning shorts. Most recently I won the 2024/25 Netflix Doc Fund, was selected for the 2023 Directors UK Inspire Mentorship and the Reykjavik Film Talent Lab.

I’m also a member of BAFTA Connect, Directors UK & BECTU.
